Food stuffs to be added in your Breakfast :

Pathartha Guna Chinthamani, a Siddha Literature states the list of pulses to be added in your breakfast . 


    Karamani ( Cow Pea): 
    Botanical name :Vigna unguiculta.

    Cow pea seeds are rich in protein and folic acid . 
    The starch contained in the cow pea seeds digest slowly than the starch from other cereals which is more beneficial to the human begins.
    It helps to prevent the neural tube defects.

    Ulunthu (Black Gram):
    Botanical name : Vigna mungo

    Black Gram is very nutritious as it contains high level of protein, folate and essential amino acids.

    Kondai kadalai ( Chick Peas): Botanical Name : Cicer arietinum

    Chick peas have good source of carbohydrates and protiens.

    Thuvarai( Pigeon Pea):   Botanical Name: Cajanus cajan

    Pigeon Peas are good source of protein, Dietary Fiber, Thiamine, Magnesium, Phosphorous, Potassium, Copper and Manganese.

    Kadugu( Mustard seed):   Botanical name: Brassica nigra


    Milagu( Pepper):   Botanical Name: Piper nigrum

    Chukku (Dried ginger):    Botanical Name: Zingeber officinale
