PANCHAMUTTI KANJI - A Nutritional Porridge for Babies

Pancha Mutti Kanji a nutritional porridge for babies :
Siddha believes that many of the health problems can be prevented through  food. “ Unnavae marunthu marunthae unnavu”
i.e Food is medicine and medicine is food.
Nowadays , people prefer mordern over the cultural stuffs with or without any knowledge,But many don't know the real value of the ancient food stuffs.When it comes to baby food many prefer packed food, genetically modified food or  those with percervatives.These food stuffs may produce ill health to the babies and Lack of sufficient food with nutrition may result in  nutritional deficiencies diseases   ( mal nutrition).
Panchamutti Mutti Kanji:
Siddhars have prescribed many preventive medicines for day to day life and Panchamutti kanji is one among them (Pancha means Five )it contains five protien rich cereals in it ,which aids in the health of the baby.PanchaMutti Kanji is helathy as well as a protein enrinched porridge mentioned in Siddha literatures.
Ingredients:
1.பச்சரிசி , Oriza sativa(Raw rice)
2.உளுந்து , Vigna mungo (Urad dal )

3.   துவரம்பருப்பு ,Cajanus cajan (Toor Dal)

4.கடலைப்பருப்பு, Cicer arietum (Chana Dal)

5.பச்சை பயிறு, Vigna radiata (Green Gram)

Procedure:

Take all the ingredients in equal amount anf fry it in a pan in medium flame , grind well into a powder and wrap it in a cloth and make as a pouch .
Then add 250 ml of water in a pot and immerse the pouch into the water ,let it boil and the extract get spreads in the water and it is made into a  Porridge .

Indication :

Indicated for Babies above 6 months of age .
