Siddha  is one of the oldest system of Indian Medicine.There are various branches in siddha , Toxicology is one among them . A Poison is a substance which when administered, inhaled or ingested, is capable of acting deleteriously on the human body.

There is really no boundary between a medicine and a poison, for a medicine in a toxic dose is a poison and a poison in a small dose may be a medicine.
Antidotes against different kinds of poison is found vastly dispersed in siddha text. According to Siddha philosophy everything is this nature have both good and bad qualities.
Even some common food substance when taken in excess amount  produces adverse reaction in the body which is also considered a type of poison and antitodes to normalize them are recommended.

Jeera Kasayam   :  Take 1 Teaspoon of  jeera (cumin seeds)  and 4 cups of water  reduce to one cup.Consume it 3 to 5 times a day .
